Dyrham Park

🏛️ House📍 Dyrham and Hinton

Dyrham Park is a late seventeenth-century baroque mansion set in a fold of the Cotswold escarpment, surrounded by one of England's most atmospheric ancient deer parks. The house was built in a rush of ambition by William Blathwayt, William III's Secretary at War, and its interior retains an astonishing collection of Dutch and Delftware accumulated at the height of Anglo-Dutch fashion. The deer park itself — with its free-roaming herd and long escarpment views — is a joy in any season.

Best for baroque architecture enthusiasts and those who love grand deer parks with big views.
