Tattershall Castle
Tattershall Castle is a magnificent medieval brick tower rising dramatically from the flat Lincolnshire landscape, built by Ralph Lord Cromwell in the 1430s as a bold statement of wealth and power. It is one of the earliest and finest examples of brick construction in England, and was saved from export to America by Lord Curzon in the early 20th century. Climb to the top for extraordinary views across the fens and towards Lincoln Cathedral on the horizon.
