Winster Market House

📍 Other📍 Winster

Winster Market House is a charming seventeenth-century market hall in the heart of the limestone village of Winster in the Derbyshire Peak District — one of the earliest properties acquired by the National Trust, in 1906. Built with a stone arcade at street level and a brick upper storey, it once sheltered market traders from the Derbyshire weather and remains the focal point of this handsome village. Small in scale but rich in local character, it's a lovely reminder of provincial market town life.

Best for those exploring Derbyshire villages and the heritage of English market towns.
