Lanyon Quoit
Lanyon Quoit stands on the windswept moorland of west Cornwall near Madron, a Neolithic dolmen whose three upright stones support a great flat capstone. It is thought to be the remains of a burial chamber over four thousand years old, and was re-erected after a storm toppled it in the nineteenth century. Against the big Penwith sky, it is an arresting and quietly powerful sight.
