The Rumps
The Rumps is a dramatic Iron Age promontory fort on the north Cornish coast near Polzeath, its earthwork ramparts cutting off a wild headland above crashing Atlantic waves. The coastal scenery here ranks among the finest on the South West Coast Path, with wide views across the Camel Estuary and out to Lundy Island on a clear day. It is the sort of place that makes you feel both very small and very alive.
- Iron Age promontory fort ramparts
- Spectacular north Cornwall cliff scenery
- South West Coast Path access
Best for coastal walkers, history seekers and those who love raw Atlantic scenery.
